Tatsuy a Nakatani est un percussionniste d’avant-garde, un compositeur et un arti ste sonore. Actif sur la scène internationale depuis les années 1990, Naka tani a publié plus de 80 enregistrements et effectué de nombreuses tournée s, donnant plus de 150 concerts par an. Il donne des classes de maîtres et des conférences dans les universités et les conservatoires de musique du monde entier. Originaire du Japon, il vit dans la ville désertique de Trut h or Consequences, au Nouveau-Mexique. Grâce à ses activités dans les doma ines de la musique nouvelle, de l’improvisation et de la musique expérimen tale, Nakatani multiplie les collaborations.
La musique de Nakatani est centrée sur un gong adapté pour être joué à l’archet, soutenu par un e nsemble de tambours, de cymbales et de bols chantants. Avec ses archets Ko bo qu’il sculpte à la main, il a consacré des décennies à affiner et dével opper son univers sonore : un agencement de vibrations qui s’enlisent dans des strates scintillantes de silence et de texture. Au cœur de cette œuvr e contemporaine, on perçoit encore le rythme dramatique, l’élégance formel le et l’espace (ma) caractéristiques de la musique traditionnelle japonais e.
Cosmic Diver est un duo de performance sonore et vidéo composé de Lina Choi et Robin-Dimitrije Gosselin-Monasevic qui explore un monde sous -marin imaginaire où les frontières entre les profondeurs de la mer et l'e space s'estompent. À travers des paysages sonores immersifs, le duo invite le public à dériver entre les dimensions dans un état onirique.

Tatsuya Nakatani i s an avant-garde percussionist, composer, and artist of sound. Active inte rnationally since the 1990s, Nakatani has released over 80 recordings and tours extensively, performing over 150 concerts a year. Originally from Ja pan, he makes his home in the desert town of Truth or Consequences, New Me xico. With his activity in new music, improvisation, and experimental musi c, Nakatani has a long history of collaboration.
Nakatani’s distinct ive music centered around his adapted bowed gong, supported by an array of drums, cymbals, and singing bowls. In consort with his personally hand-ca rved Kobo Bows, he has spent decades refining and developing his sound as an arrangement of formations of vibrations, incorporated in shimmering lay ers of silence and texture. Within this contemporary work, one can still r ecognize the dramatic pacing, formal elegance and space (ma) felt in tradi tional Japanese music.

This r ural region is considered "Area C"\, which are\nterritories of the West Ba nk that are under complete control of the Israeli\ngovernment and it's occ upation force and make up more than 60% of the West Bank.\nWhile Palestini ans in these areas are subjected to millitary checkpoints which\nthey cant cross without special permits\, the Israeli apartheid law allows\nIsraeli citizens to have complete freedom of movement through these areas\, areas \nthat are used as a large and important part in the zionist settler proje ct of\ngreater Israel. Masafer Yat ta is a collection of 19 villages in the South Hebron Hills of the West Ba nk, Palestine. This rural region is considered "Area C", which are territo ries of the West Bank that are under complete control of the Israeli gover nment and it's occupation force and make up more than 60% of the West Bank . While Palestinians in these areas are subjected to millitary checkpoints which they cant cross without special permits, the Israeli apartheid law allows Israeli citizens to have complete freedom of movement through these areas, areas that are used as a large and important part in the zionist s ettler project of greater Israel. The zionist regime tactically places vio lent settlers on hills over the Palestinian villages. Protected by the law , the army and the police, the settlers use physical and psychological ter ror on the Palestinians with the goal of running them out of their village s and taking over. This system of violence and intimidation backed up by t he law creates a living environment of constant danger and fear, and we se e the situation escalating day by day - communites attacked, villages burn t and destroyed and Palestinians having everything taken away from them wh ile the settlers are getting more and more power. Masafer Yatta is an area which is extremely prone to attacks, where not a day goes by peacefully. onitoring and protecting protected areas and for defending ancestral right
s, which necessarily requires consultation with hereditary chiefs before a
ny form of resource extraction.
In addition to maintaining continuo
us monitoring against illegal logging, the land defenders are building fac
ilities to welcome Atikamekw people living in nearby towns who wish to rec
onnect with their roots.
Some have left their communities to work in mu
