Nennen (Album release) // Boar God // Everly Lux

Nennen (alternative, folk, sadcore, slowcore)
Nennen's second full-length album, You Reflect the Light, will be out May 9. You Reflect the Light emerges from moments of intimate transformation. Eight songs trace the relational ripples of personal change through rupture, repair, and even glimmers of hope. The first single, Aurora, is about the futility of trying to bridge an unfathomable separation - throwing a message at the vast empty sky and hoping the cosmos will carry it through.
You Reflect the Light finds songwriter Amy Macdonald laying claim to untold adolescent hours of immersion in 1990s Sarah McLachlan and PJ Harvey albums, infusing these formative influences into eight songs that hold their emotional rawness with hard-won grace. Care of Macdonald and co-producer Steve Newton (Cedric Noel, Le Ren), layers of down-tuned guitar, earthy synth tones, amp fuzz, and field recordings create a textured, immersive landscape that anchors the contributions of bassist Tasy Hudson (Big|Brave, Ada Lea) and drummer Lucas Huang (Hsien, Egyptian Cotton Arkestra).

Boar God (doom-punk, psych, post-punk)
Formed in the depths of Montreal in 2016, Boar God are an ear-shattering rock outfit whose sound combines the darkness and raw energy of early post-punk and hardcore, the swirling guitars and atmosphere of classic shoegaze, and the pounding, grinding assault of AmRep-style noise rock. They are currently in the beginning stages of recording their second album. Bring hearing protection. You have been warned....

Everly Lux (alternative, experimental, folk, indie, pop)
Recorded and produced with a women/non-binary-only team, 'Selfhood' from Montreal DIY artist Everly Lux is an ode to becoming and belonging to yourself. Using poetic lyrics, each song is a story that aims to dig deep into the dichotomies of love, grief, violence and reality.
